Our Environmental Awareness

We are committed to reducing our business impact on the environment, with the professional help of of 'C Ben' Cumbria Business Environmental Network. C Ben offer businesses assistance on a range of issues. This is carried out by means of an annual business audit, with a view to reducing costs and providing the latest professional guidance on management practices. With there help we have achieved 'C Ben Gold Award'.

We have achieved this in a number of ways:

We use

• Recycled paper
• Eco toilet products

We are saving energy, but are always looking for new ways to improve:

• All computers/monitors are turned off daily
• Push taps to reduce water wastage
• Water butts/bags
• Light sensors which respond to movement and turn off automatically
• Low energy bulbs
• Solar lights
• We separate material into recycling units
• Educate customers about environmental impact
• Encourage cycling/walking in town
• Tree planting annually

By doing this we hope to incorporate more energy saving ideas in the future, using our C Ben award as a foundation to continue to build on.
